HOW IT WORKS

Certain steps are taken in order to ensure that either your Lip Blush treatment is successful:

PRIOR TO YOUR APPOINTMENT

- Evaluation (online consultation)

- Pre-care instructions (provided to each client upon scheduling)

DURING YOUR APPOINTMENT

- You will be requested to fill out medical history and consent forms to make sure that you are indeed a good candidate for the procedure chosen and that you understand the policies in place.

- Pictures of your lips will be taken before the procedure.

- Your lips are going to be cleaned, mapped and shaped. You will be asked to check the shape and if it’s overall within your preference.

- The first pass with the machine will be done without the numbing cream to ensure the shape drawn on your lips is preserved.

- Once the first pass is done and some pigment has been implanted in your lip skin, a numbing gel will be used during the whole process to avoid any discomfort.

- Three to four passes will be done to fill in lips.

- Once the treatment is completed, another picture will be taken to capture your new lips.

- You will be provided with an aftercare kit containing instructions and an aftercare balm to be used during the healing process.

AFTER YOUR FIRST APPOINTMENT

- All clients will go through a healing phase that can take 7 to 10 days.

- After 6 to 8 weeks you will have to return for your touch up appointment in order to cover existing gaps and darken your lips as it is expected considerable fading after your first treatment. Please note that the healing process varies from client to client. Some clients will barely need a touch up while others may need more work done to their lips to have them looking nice and fresh again. Results are much better after your second treatment, so it’s important to be patient and trust the process.

- Your second appointment will be faster than the first one as there will be no need to spend the same amount of time on measuring and shaping.

- Healing process is the same, even though the healing is not as intense as in your first treatment.

AFTER YOUR SECOND APPOINTMENT

- It is important to allow your lips to fade in order to have a color boost. Clients are recommended to wait at least 1 year before having a color boost appointment.

WHAT TO EXPECT DURING THE HEALING PROCESS?

- Initially, the color will be super vibrant, almost like a bold lipstick. The immediate results look nothing like when the lips are healed. Because of the swelling, your lips will look slightly bigger than normal and look as though you may have had a lip filler injection.

- The size of your lips will shrink back to normal and the color will significantly fade up to 50% within the first 4 days. You will lose color on the inside of your lips first, the edges last. It is normal that the lips feel dry, chapped and tender to the touch right after the procedure.
